Getting off the plane and seeing my friends and family for the first time in way too long was euphoric. Actually holding my girlfriend in my arms again was heaven, there's no other word for it. Then there was smelling the fresh Bowen Island air once more. My face hurt from smiling.
My cousin Sarah came back from her college too, her plane getting in a couple hours after mine. When she saw me she ran over, picked me up, swung me around then said "Still tiny Holls". I feel silly, but I cried a little at my group's reunion, but seeing as more of us did than didn't, I guess I shouldn't feel too very bad.
On top of all this, it's my girlfriend's birthday tomorrow so that'll be fun.
It's too bad I can't afford to come home every holiday, but seeing as this holiday includes Christmas, Chanukka, New Year's and Mary's birthday we all agreed it's the best one to come home for.
Sorry to just talk about how happy I am, but I just had to. Apologies for those of you I bored.
